Johanna Burton is the Keith Haring Director and Curator of Education and Public Engagement at the New Museum. Since 2013, Burton has overseen all of the Museum’s educational, interpretive, and theater initiatives. In Fall 2013, she inaugurated the Museum’s R&D Seasons, a thematically organized hybrid platform encompassing artist residencies, exhibitions, public programs, and publications. In 2015, Burton also began overseeing the publication of a new series Critical Anthologies in Art and Culture, co-produced by the New Museum and MIT Press.
