Lee Newton’s mixed-media installation, entitled Numinosum, explored the mythic forces of the human psyche through contrasting elements of light and dark. Newton, who studied painting and sculpture at the Boston Museum School for Fine Arts, also participated in numerous group shows in Boston and New York. Solo exhibitions of her work were also shown in Boston at the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Harcus Krakow Gallery and the Nielsen Gallery.
