For this panel discussion, Glenn O’Brien, Magdalena Sawon and Lia Gangitano discussed with Senior Curator Dan Cameron the parallels—and also the differences—between the East Village scene of the 1980s and the current scenes of Chelsea, Williamsburg and the Lower East Side. The panel also examined the current nature of the gallery business, as well as the continued importance of the bar/club/storefront scene.
