As part of a series of talks and performances that will take place at The Island (Ken) (2015)—an installation by the artist collective DIS—Chus Martínez, curator and Head of the Institute of Art at the FHNW Academy of Art and Design, Basel, will give a talk on what she calls the “Metabolic Era.” She will focus on the transformation of life through physical and mental ingestion—from diets to procrastination—and explore how such metabolic processes could potentially inform the future of art.
