IUD Alongside her multi-instrumental and vocal work as part of celebrated band Gang Gang Dance, Lizzie Bougatsos—together with co-conspirator Sadie Laska—has created a blend of propulsive drumming and samples from all over the musical (and non-musical) spectrum. IUD, Bougatsos and Laska’s new project, is a visceral and moving experience, something entirely unique that the band themselves have described as “a mix of Crash Worship and Butthole Surfers.” Growing Growing duo Joe Denardo and Kevin Doria have already achieved legendary status among ambient and noise-rock circles and July’s Get Weird should only solidify their reputation. Gifted with the uncanny ability to extract alien and ethereal sounds from the traditional format of the electric guitar, Growing holds titles for notoriously loud and deeply transcendent live performances.
