Steven Bernstein has recently received a Grammy nomination for Sex Mob’s Sexotica, an Annie nomination for his score to an hour long “Backyardigans” special, and has released his fourth album in the Diaspora series on Tzadik. He has also arranged music for Rufus Wainwright, Marianne Faithful, Linda Thompson, and Darlene Love on their latest albums. He’s a current member of Levon Helm’s now legendary Midnight Ramble band who recently performed at The Ryman Theatre with guests Robert Plant, Sheryl Crow, and John Hiatt. He also recently performed in Julian Schnabel’s concert film of Lou Reed’s Berlin and was featured on the hit single “Blind” by Hercules and Love Affair.
