Shelley Burgon is a member of the collaborative chamber ensemble Ne(x)tworks and the band Stars Like Fleas. She has spent the last six years improvising as a soloist and with many legendary people associated with the New York downtown avant-garde music scene. Currently, she is spending her time composing and songwriting. She received a BA in Jazz Studies from San Francisco State University and and MFA in Electronic Music from Mills College. She can be heard on many labels including Hometapes, Ipecac, and Tzadik.
