Angelo Bellfatto is an artist who has lived and worked in New York City for most of his life. Recently he has been engaged in two related bodies of work, “Chamber Illuminations” and “Hairy Hierophanies,” each comprising a cycle of paintings in casein tempera and accompanying terra-cotta reliefs. He has also been a teacher of painting and sculpture at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn for over twenty years.
