Sharon Hayes, I march in the parade of liberty, but as long as I love you I'm not free, 2007. Performance: New Museum, New York, 2007. Over the course of the exhibition, Hayes periodically performed the piece starting outside of the New Museum and following differing routes to locations in the Museum’s vicinity with historical connections to dissent and demonstrations.​
