From December 10 to December 30, 1983, the New Museum presented works by Ken Aptekar, Greg Drasler, and Shelley Kaplan as part of the On View program. The On View program was envisioned as a forum for emerging artists to present small thematic exhibitions and video works for approximately three weeks at a time. This flexible format enabled curators to respond to the constantly changing focus of contemporary art, and to present new works to the public directly from artists’ studios.
